Colón Cultural is a non-profit organization offering a platform for both local and international artists interested in cultivating artistic and cultural projects in peripheral communities. These communities are defined not only by their geographical location but also by their socio-cultural context. Our aim is to bring art to these groups in an engaging and committed manner, fostering a deeper connection between art and life. This interaction enriches the subjectivity of participants and collaborators alike.
Since 2016, we have expanded our networks and operational reach. Artists from over 15 countries have engaged with our space, and we have executed projects in communities across Cuba, Mexico, the United States, Canada, Uruguay, and Costa Rica.

We aim to:
- Provide a collaborative platform facilitating artistic exchange among artists interested in community-focused and socially engaged work.
- Identify, convene, and select artists committed to socially engaged art.
- Compile information on the socio-cultural characteristics of peripheral groups and communities to inform the design of future social and artistic projects.
- Develop programs fostering critical thinking about the realities of these communities.
- Encourage the growth of local artists.
- Colón Cultural seeks to empower artists by providing tools and materials for creative expression and social development. We facilitate artist-community connections, offering curatorial support, mentorship, and access to our international platform through artist residencies, workshops, and theoretical events.
